The OGA at Fifty- Gathering the Jewels                                   

The OGA will be 50 in 2013 and we are celebrating this milestone with a book, setting out some of the memorable people and events of the last fifty years.  The format for is that it should be interesting and informative and light-hearted where appropriate.

We are looking for material such as articles from Gaffers Logs or other magazines and publications or accounts of sailing logs and other interesting events. And perhaps especially, profiles of interesting members, particularly those no longer with us.  Photographs and illustrations will be very welcome but please include all relevant information.  Anecdotes and reminiscences are of course the real jewels.  Please encourage older and younger members to write them down!  We need a good  reservoir of sailing stories!

   This will also pull together the numerous parts of the OGA archive currently scattered around the country, preparatory to finding a repository for the long term benefit of future Old Gaffers.  All contributions and suggestions may be sent by post (see Year Book) or email to-
